Prescott College will host the first season of the Winter Farmers Market, starting this Saturday, November 16.
The Prescott, Arizona climate allows for fresh seasonal produce and lots of wonderful locally produced products, foods, gifts, and crafts.
Local food- and the benefits it brings to communities, isn't a temporary trend. It's driven by economic and environmental concerns, as well as the deep belief that good food, sustainably and humanely produced, should have a place at every table. Winter farmers markets also offer additional opportunities to farmers to generate year round income, creating a "win win" situation in which farmers have more financial stability and consumers have a reliable supply of local food, regardless of the season.
The Winter Farmers Market (Prescott Community Market) will be held at the Prescott College campus on the corner of Grove and Western Ave.
Come shop for local produce, artisan breads, pasta & honey, lavender and organic eggs, and much more every Saturday from 10 am - 2 pm through April 26. There will be live music and activities for children such as face painting.
